About

Fresh Ink is an annual theatre festival supporting writers from Hull to create and develop new plays in the city.

Inspired by "scratch" theatre nights, Fresh Ink showcases early versions of new plays especially commissioned for the festival, alongside workshops, talks and social events.

This year's edition features work by Elle Douglas, Dan McGarry, Jamie Lee Falk, Aidan Thompson-Coates, James Hall, Nina Koshy and Emily Lidgard, presented on Stage@TheDock.

There will also be sharings of scripts by the Middle Child introduction to playwriting, working class and 16-25 year old writing groups.

The festival also includes a jam-packed programme of writing workshops with world-renowned playwrights, industry talks from leading theatre-makers and opportunities to meet and hang out with festival-goers across the Fruit Market.
