The large, symmetrical historic mansion of Burton Constable Hall in Skirlaugh, with red brick walls and many tall, white-paned windows sits at the end

About

Scenes, memories and impressions of our outdoor spaces.

This eclectic collection of views represents the past and present locations of our ERA members, who share the views they've enjoyed from their own windows over the years.

Whether it reflects a current location or historic scene, each piece of work is inspired by, and evokes memories of, a place and time. From the hustle and bustle of a town or cityscape, views from a holiday location window, a view on the move, or a garden of peace and tranquillity, artists have used their differing techniques to produce a scene of meaning to them and to draw in the viewer to their world through the window.

Visiting the Gallery

The Stables Community Gallery is open daily from 10am and is free to visit. Located in the South Stable Courtyard, you'll find it on the right-hand side as you walk through the first archway from the café. Everyone is welcome to explore the exhibition and enjoy the creative work on display in this accessible community space.
