Hull's celebrated maritime guided tours return for 2026.
A dedicated team of 17 White Badge accredited volunteers will once again lead free guided walking tours, offering residents and visitors the chance to explore Hull's rich and fascinating maritime heritage.
Following their success in 2025, four guided tours will run throughout the season on Thursdays and Saturdays at 10.30am.
Key Highlights:
Starting Point: Museum Quarter gardens, outside the Hull and East Riding Museum.
Full tour duration: Approximately 2.5 hours, covering key landmarks such as:

Exterior of the Maritime Museum
Exterior of the Spurn Lightship at Hull Marina
Blaydes House, Trinity House, and Hull Marina.
The maritime guided tours were Highly Commended at the prestigious Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTA) in the 'Remarkable Experience of the Year' category, reflecting the growing popularity of this unique city experience.
A group of dedicated and friendly volunteers who are accredited White Badge tours guides are offering guided walks for you to learn more about Hull and how the city has been shaped by its past, present and future.
As part of the guided tours, you will discover some fascinating nuggets of information and facts about Hull's maritime heritage as well as updates on the Hull Maritime project, transforming our maritime treasures and creating a new maritime experience. If you have lived in Hull for years or are new to Hull, you will learn something new about our wonderful city.
You'll learn about merchant houses hidden down Hull's High Street as well as Humber Street, which was home to one of the largest fruit and vegetable markets anywhere in the country in the 1920s when Hull was a big importer of fruit and vegetables.
The tours will take place every Thursday and Saturday at 10.30am.

Starting at the Museum Quarter gardens, outside the Hull and East Riding Museum, the tour which run in the morning lasts up to 2 ½ hours and take in the future location of the Arctic Corsair at North End Shipyard, Queens Gardens, the exterior of the Maritime Museum and the new location of the Spurn Lightship in Hull Marina. Other key landmarks include Blaydes House and Hull Marina.
