About

Hull's much-loved Spurn Lightship, a treasured symbol of the city's maritime heritage, will reopen to the public from Saturday 7 March, with free tickets available.

The vessel, which once served as a floating lightship guiding ships safely through the Humber estuary, offers visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore an important chapter of Hull's seafaring past.

During their visit, guests can explore the lightship's interior, learn about the daily lives of the crew who lived and worked on board, and discover the vital role the vessel played in maritime navigation.

The Spurn Lightship is free to visit and will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am – 3pm.

Visitors are encouraged to plan their free visit and book tickets. While walk-up visitors will be able to step on board, capacity is limited and they may have to wait and so pre-booking tickets is the best way to avoid disappointment.
