About

Water's Edge is an exhibition celebrating the extraordinary characteristics associated with our unique coastlines, seashores and other junctions between land and water.

In these striking interpretations of the divide between land and a body of water, members of East Riding Artists have explored this visually powerful element of nature through a variety of mediums, concepts and approaches to present a thought-provoking body of work inspired by rivers, coastlines, rain and water.

Although many of the pieces are Yorkshire-inspired, there are works inspired by all areas of the UK which, as a relatively small island, celebrates some of the most varied coastlines and inland waterways in the world.

The exhibition includes original work by painters, ceramicists, jewellery-makers, sculptors, textile and mixed-media creators who live and work in the East Riding.
